Billie Eilish to appear on new season of ‘Sesame Street’
The pop star will join Anderson .Paak, Kacey Musgraves and more on the new season
Billie Eilish is set to appear in the next series of the children’s TV show, ‘Sesame Street’.
The pop star will join the programme’s 52nd season, which premieres on November 11, alongside musicians Anderson .Paak, Kacey Musgraves and Jon Batiste who will also feature in scenes. Billie Eilish will reportedly star opposite the show’s vampire character The Count [via USA Today].
Also set to appear in the new season are actor Keke Palmer, poet Amanda Gorman and tennis player Naomi Osaka. Paak will perform a song written for the show’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day episode.
‘Sesame Street’ has invited dozens of artists to the show before. In recent years Chance The Rapper, Foo Fighters‘ Dave Grohl and Maggie Rogers have all made cameos.
The news follows Eilish performing as Sally for a ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ live-to-film concert last Friday (October 29) as part of Halloween celebrations.
She performed ‘Sally’s Song’ and a duet with Danny Elfman’s character Jack Skellington called ‘Simply Meant To Be’. The concert was held at Los Angeles’ Banc Of California Stadium, with a second performance happening on Halloween itself (October 31).
Meanwhile, last month the pop singer unveiled her debut fragrance titled ‘Eilish’.
“I am SO EXCITED to finally share my debut fragrance “Eilish” with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! this is a scent that i’ve been chasing for years and years. this is my favourite smell in the WORLD,” part of Eilish’s message on Instagram read.
“Fragrance has always been such an enormous part of my life and existence since i can remember, and it was a dream to create this scent and bring my ideas to life. this has been one of the most exciting things i’ve ever done. i can’t wait for it to be yours so soon!!!!!”
With the post she shared an image of her showing off the perfume bottle, which is a slightly abstract artistic model of a torso and neck.
Eilish was also confirmed recently as the Friday night headliner of Glastonbury Festival 2022.
