The nominations for the 75th BAFTAs (British Academy Film Awards) have been revealed.

Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ leads the way with 11 nominations, while the Jane Campion-directed ‘The Power Of The Dog’ follows with eight. Kenneth Branagh’s ‘Belfast’ has six.

BAFTA announced the nominees for the EE Rising Star Award earlier this week. The award is the only one that’s voted for by the public (voting is now open).

‘The Power Of The Dog’ actor Kodi Smit-McPhee is up for the gong, as is ‘No Time To Die’ star Lashana Lynch. ‘West Side Story’ actress Ariana DeBose, ‘The Souvenir Part II’ actor Harris Dickinson and ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ star Millicent Simmonds are also up for the award.

Rebel Wilson will host this year’s BAFTAs, which takes place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on March 13. After the 2021 ceremony was conducted virtually under social distancing conditions, BAFTA said it’s planning an in-person ceremony with a “full” audience.
