Taylor-Johnson appears on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone UK, where he discusses his new role opposite Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy and beyond.
In the cover feature, he was also asked about persistent rumours – which have gained more traction this week – of him replacing Daniel Craig as the next Bond.
When posed the question, Taylor-Johnson diplomatically responded: “I can only really talk about the things I’m going to show and tell. So, The Fall Guy, Nosferatu, Kraven the Hunter. I’m here to promote those.”
Discussing his future in acting, he added: “I don’t feel like I need to have a future drawn out for me. I feel like: whatever’s drawn out for me, I can fuckin’ do better.
“It’s the best when you sometimes lose all inhibitions completely, and you feel like you’re dangling there, and the director has sort of got one finger on the back of your shirt, so you don’t fall. It’s all about chasing that feeling. There’s nothing so exhilarating as that.”
This week, it was reported that Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been offered the role as James Bond in the next offering of the 007 franchise.
The Sun has reported that Eon Productions, the firm behind the iconic spy movies, has offered Taylor-Johnson the main role.
According to the publication, Taylor-Johnson is likely to sign the contract this week and will begin filming at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire later this year with a script currently in development.
