The North Face remaster classic icons

Check out the Icons RMST collection now.

By Joseph Kocharian

Whether it’s The Weeknd’s Save Your Tears with added Ariana Grande, or Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-Hero’ with extra Jack Antonoff, everyone loves a remix, which is exactly what outwear brand The North Face have done with their latest Icons RMST collection.

The North Face have managed to ride the fashion wave well, slotting in perfectly with every trend that’s appeared over the past few years.  Whether it is resurgence of street-wear, nineties East-17 and Spice Girls vibes, or noughties technicolour, The North Face has been there as the go-to outerwear.

Like the suit, the puffer jacket just doesn’t seem to go out of style, do we dare say it’s the streetwear tuxedo?  The brand has collaborated with the likes of Gucci recently too, just to show off their fashion currency, and proving that even the summit of fashion is still tapping the brand for a collab.

The brand are ever-conscious about their (specifically alpine) roots though. The DNA of The North Face that’s a perennial favourite with celebrities, fashion brands and streetwear stans alike is it’s outerwear classics. It’s no surprise, therefore, that The North face are turning to their classic styles, releasing elevated versions of their most loved pieces, including the Nuptse, Him Parka and Denali jackets. The Icons RMST collection celebrates the brand’s heritage in the mountains, and, as well as giving us the aesthetic we want, they’re also giving us a bit of nerd-core, with their advanced technology that keeps you protected against the elements, even if you’re going to wear that bright red puffa jacket off both your shoulders, like you’re headlining at Coachella, or in a long queue to get in club in the North of England in sub-zero temperatures.
