The sunny resort town of Southend-on-Sea is set to host a celebration of craft drinks and live music this summer. The inaugural independent Lazydays Festival will transform the Essex town’s picturesque Priory Park into a paradise for beverage enthusiasts and music lovers alike from 26-28 July.

What sets Lazydays apart is its prime seaside location. Festival-goers can enjoy their craft drinks with the refreshing backdrop of a sea breeze, just a stone’s throw from Southend’s famous beaches. This unique setting promises a perfect blend of summer vibes and stunning entertainment.

Lazydays Festival lineup

The festival boasts a wide roster of musical talent across two stages, featuring:

  • Craig Charles
  • Sundara Karma
  • David Rodigan
  • Sleeper
  • Mystery Jets
  • The Hoosiers

Up-and-coming artists will also take the spotlight on the Signature Brew Live Stage, platforming fresh talent alongside established acts.

Impressive array of craft drinks

As in independent festival created by three “craft drink loving locals,” Lazydays, of course, offers a carefully curated selection of independent drink producers. These include:

  • Essex Spirit Co: Sustainable liquor producers
  • Duration: Modern farmhouse brewery from Norfolk
  • Copper Rivet: Kent’s only grain-to-glass distillery
  • Radio City Beer Works: Chelmsford’s leading craft microbrewery
  • Kocktail: World-class cocktail producers
  • Bianca Road Brew Co: Bermondsey Beer Mile favourites
  • Siren Craft Brew: Flavour-forward beers from Berkshire
  • Iford Cider: Fresh, wild-fermented ciders
  • Leigh on Sea Brewery: Award-winning local brewers

Lazydays has also partnered with Leigh on Sea Brewery to create Lazy Haze, a limited-edition DDH NEPA. Beer enthusiasts can find it in bars and taprooms across Essex, with each purchase offering a chance to win festival tickets.

Both afternoon sessions also welcome families, with free admission for children under 12. There’s even a dedicated children’s mocktail bar.
